What Customers Say About Us

We’ve had numerous drainage and erosion concerns and weren’t sure how best to address each area. Tyler listened closely, inspected every problem area, and offered practical, cost-effective solutions with clear explanations.
His crew assisted us with grading, installing French drains, culverts, swales, and rip rap, as well as improving all the finished grading the builder left us with. All done within the quoted price!

Jeff Baker
Residential Builder/Contractor

Our homesite & surrounding acreage is of varying topographical contours, from gentle to steep slopes, to flat areas in between.
Tyler hydroseeded some areas to stabilize the soil, and the results worked well. We are appreciative to Tyler & the GSI crew for helping us solve our issues, of which there were many. We will certainly use them again for all future projects.

Scott McKenna
Homeowner with acreage

I had a fairly steep, weedy slope that had some areas of erosion. Tyler suggested a cost effective solution which was to hydroseed the slope with a no-mow grass.
After some ground prep to maximize germination, the slope was hydroseeded and quickly turned into a carpet of green.
My erosion issue was solved in addition to looking much better!

Frequently Asked Questions?
We’ve provided answers to commonly asked questions we hear from contractors, homeowners, and DIYers.

What seed is best for this application?
Type of seed depends on your site, whether it is full or partial sun, or full or partial shade, for example. The topography can matter too, such as a slope, whether it’s a lawn, pasture, or used for erosion-control seeding. Give us a call or stop by and we’ll match you to the right blend from our seed selection.
Do I really need to staple this matting down or just roll it out?
Staple all matting. Matting that isn’t anchored can shift, wrinkle, or wash away in the rain, defeating its purpose. We carry the sod staples/landscape pins you’ll need, and can walk you through spacing for your topography.
Is this pipe smooth wall?
We stock both corrugated and smooth-wall pipe. Let us know your application (drainage, culvert, or downspout) and we’ll point you to the right one in stock.
What is the difference between woven and non-woven fabric?
Woven is stronger and better for stabilization and separation under stone (like driveways and roadbeds). Non-woven is better for filtration and drainage and lets water pass through while keeping soil out. We’ll help you pick the right one for your job.
Do you offer services to help me complete my job or project?
Beyond supplying materials, we may take on special projects in grading and erosion control. Contact us to discuss your job.
Services example:
Question: I have an area of standing mud in my yard. Can you help with this?
Answer: Yes. We offer supplies and can provide guidance to complete this yourself or we can provide a quote for full-service installation.
Do you offer delivery? How much is that?
We offer delivery for a fee based on distance and load size. Call us for a delivery quote.
When is the best time of year to start grading or erosion control work?
Cooler, drier conditions are always ideal and fall seeding gets a head start before winter dormancy. We handle projects year-round. Call us to talk timing for your site.
